Fancy Getting Married in a Lighthouse in Wales?


Are you looking for a unique and different wedding venue for up to 25 people in Wales?  Have you thought about getting married in a Lighthouse in South Wales?

The West Usk Lighthouse is available to hold Civil Ceremonies so is an ideal wedding venue for small intimate weddings and weddings that want to be unique and different.

Weddings can be held downstairs in the large Dining Room, which has a sea view as well as landward view. There is seating for up to 20 guests so will do for weddings of up to 25 people (including the bridal party).

Weddings / Civil Ceremonies can also be held in the slate bedded Entrance Hall for even more intimate weddings of up to 10 people, with the spiral staircase of the light house as a backdrop to the event (please take a look in our gallery for some wedding photos).


About the small and unique Lighthouse Wedding Venue, Located  on the coastroad in  between Cardiff & Newport in South Wales!


Usk Lighthouse is a full time B&B, as well as an intimate and unique wedding venue so once a booking is made, the Lighthouse will be entirely at your disposal for 4 hours on the day, preferably between 12pm - 4pm.

You can bring your own refreshments for celebrating after the wedding / Civil Ceremony.

The cost for the wedding venue during the week (from Monday to Thursday is from £450 - please ask for a quote as price varies depending on number of guests) and from £950 on Fridays and the Weekend (without accommodation - although accommodation packages are also available.  There is also the Registrar’s fees, which will be paid directly to them when you book your date.

Your wedding venue booking will give you access to nearly all of the Light House including the lantern Room, the Roof Garden (with Hot Tub), the Wedding Room, and the Garden where you can continue with your celebration afterwards if you wish.

The picture above shows a humanistic wedding blessing on the roof garden whereas our Weddings and Civil Ceremonies are only available downstairs; in the large Dining Room, which has a sea view as well as landward view, with seating for up to 20 guests or in the slate bedded Entrance Hall for up to 10 people, with the spiral staircase of the lighthouse as a backdrop.

Weddings / Civil Ceremonies for 10-25 people or Wedding Blessings for up to 40 people in a unique and intimate Wedding venue located on the coast road, in between Cardiff & Newport in South Wales.


For Wedding Ceremonies for up to 10 people

The venue cost is £750 plus Registrar’s fees and other expenses such as refreshments. We offer 2 bottles of Champagne and a trip by Rolls Royce to the local restaurant as part of the package should you want to use that venue for your wedding reception.


For Weekday Ceremonies for a couple and 2 witnesses

The cost is £450 plus the Registrar’s fees. We provide 2 bottles of Champagne and a trip to the local restaurant.


2 Day Weddings - Wedding Venue & Accommodation Package for a Wedding in South Wales.

This wedding package includes the ceremony room, 4 bedrooms (B&B), the roof garden (with hot tub and fantastic sea views) and the lantern room. The total that we can sleep will be 8 + 2 children or 9 adults in the Lighthouse.  The wedding venue cost with B&B is £3000, plus Registrar’s fees, drinks and food.

You are all welcome to bring your own flowers, music, and refreshments.  For a 2 night stay, you can have a BBQ on the roof garden or set off fireworks at night, release a few doves and have live music to entertain your guests.



We offer 4 bottles of Champagne, trip by Rolls Royce to the local restaurant, and complementary therapies for the Bride and Groom.

Wedding Venue - Deposits

At the time of confirming a booking, we require a 50% deposit and the rest payable within 3 months.  It is important that you take out wedding insurance just in case there is a cancellation, we will endeavour to re-let for unusual circumstances.

Mon-Fri - 10.00am-5pm excluding 1pm
Sat - 10.00am-5pm
Sun, Bank Hols - 10.00am-12.00 noon,- 2.00pm

Once you decide on a date, we will make a provisional booking for you until you have your confirmation with the Registrar.  We will then require a deposit.
